Understand where your data goes.
Your portfolio is personal. Here is how Sharpe uses it, and which services the extension contacts.
Your portfolio stays
in your browser.
Sharpe calculates portfolio analytics locally. It does not upload your portfolio to a Sharpe analytics server.
Inspect the source code- Uses your existing session
- Sharpe reads account data through your signed-in DEGIRO session. You do not enter your DEGIRO password into Sharpe.
- Analytics, not trading
- Sharpe does not place trades or modify your brokerage account.
- Network requests, explained
- Account data comes from DEGIRO. Price histories and benchmarks may be requested from external market-data providers, including VWD and Yahoo Finance. Pro licence checks use Lemon Squeezy. These are separate from local portfolio calculations.
A few practical questions.
Does Sharpe work on my phone?
Sharpe is a Chrome extension for desktop. You can read these guides on your phone, but installation and portfolio analysis require a supported desktop browser.
Do I need to export CSV files?
No. Sharpe reads your account through your existing DEGIRO session. Open DEGIRO, sign in as usual, then open the extension.
Is Sharpe free?
Yes. Core returns, benchmarks, allocation and dividend totals are free. Pro adds the features listed above for €3 per month.
Are the live figures real-time exchange quotes?
Sharpe follows the data available through DEGIRO. Quotes may be delayed, and a frequent display refresh does not guarantee a new market price.
Does simulated performance predict my returns?
No. It generates scenarios from historical price returns. Its range describes those simulations, not guaranteed probabilities. Actual outcomes can fall outside the range.
Is Sharpe part of DEGIRO?
No. Sharpe is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by DEGIRO.
